How Will Your Family Celebrate Father's Day?

Here Are Some Ideas For You!

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni Kid Publisher June 16, 2022

It’s time to celebrate Father's Day! This Sunday will be a day to express your love and gratitude for all the father figures in your life. While every day they should be celebrated, this day is extra special. So what are some of the ways you celebrate? Here are some ideas for you and your family:

  • This weekend is the MSRA's Back to the 50’s Car Show at the Minnesota Fairgrounds. Tonight, I started seeing vintage beautiful vehicles in hotel parking lots here in Minnesota preparing for this annual show. I hope they have good weather and it doesn’t get too hot for them and the storms stay away.
  • The Stone Arch Bridge Festival is this Saturday and Sunday with live music and over 200 culinary artists and artists that will be showcasing their talents on the Minneapolis Riverfront.
  • Take dad for a tour at the Minnesota Vikings Museum in Eagan. The Minnesota Vikings Museum is a place for Vikings fans and Legends alike to experience the comprehensive history of the Minnesota Vikings and football in Minnesota.
  • "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" ends this Saturday at the Children's Theatre Company. Get your tickets here.
  • Also the Minnesota Sinfonia will be performing at the Caponi Art Park and the Family Lighter Side Concert will perform at 7 p.m. The Family Lighter Side concerts are full of an exciting variety of music, including dances like the tango and the polka, showtunes, Western Classical favorites, movie themes, and more. Don’t miss the Minnesota Sinfonia’s only summer show in Dakota County.

However you celebrate your day I hope you have a special day with your dad, grandpa or other father figures in your life. Prayers to those who have lost their fathers, grandfathers, or that significant father figure.
