HOPKINS, Minn.- Stages Theatre Company (STC) is thrilled to announce the cast of Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical JR. Rebellion is near in this gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination. With the help of the students at her new school, Matilda’s about to teach some grown-ups that ‘even if you’re little you can do a lot’. Matilda JR celebrates the power of young people to change their own stories.

Matilda JR is recommended for everyone ages 5 and older and will be presented in the Mainstage Theatre. This high-energy, fast-paced, family favorite musical teaches young people, ‘nobody but me is going to change my story!’ as we watch Matilda stay true to her beliefs and stand up for what’s right.

Performances of Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical JR. run from April 19 - May 19, 2024. Ticket pricing is as follows: Adult $18, Senior $16, Child $16. Subject to fees. Group ticket pricing for groups 10+ as follows: $8 per ticket for school day performances, $10.50 per ticket for public performances. Subject to fees. On stage now at Stages Theatre Company in collaboration with Theater Mu is The Name Jar, presented in the Jaycees Studio for everyone aged 5 and older. This world premiere play is based off teacher’s top pick book by Yangsook Choi, adapted for the stage by Susan Pak; both Choi and Pak will be in attendance at the April 14th 1PM performance for a book signing and talk back.
