The Dandelion Seed at Stages Theatre Company (August 7 - 25, 2024)

Stages Theatre Company introduces cast of The Dandelion Seed

July 30, 2024

Stages Theatre Company (STC) is thrilled to announce the return of The Dandelion Seed, a Theatre for the Very Young production. STC has earned a national reputation for creating this participatory, multi-sensory theatre experience for young children and their caregivers, where audiences become an integral and active part of telling the story. The Dandelion Seed is the final production in STC’s 40th Anniversary year - A Season to Celebrate.

Bring your young ones to explore this theatrical adventure created just for them! Theatre for the Very Young began its life at Stages Theatre 10 years ago with The Dandelion Seed and STC is celebrating how far they’ve come by bringing it back. One tiny dandelion seed is happy in its cozy home until a wind carries it away. It worries that it won’t be able to find its place in such a big, scary world but the seed finds that everything is more beautiful than it could have imagined. Perhaps change isn’t so bad after all.

STC is also proud to announce their award of a $20,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to aid in the creation and tour of this production to local schools and libraries ensuring that more young people and their families have access to this unique theatre experience.

Meet the cast of The Dandelion Seed: Lola Alowonle, Milan Alowonle, Coy Drontle, Spencer Ferguson, Eva Gilbertson, Indigo Houltberg, Airon Manson, Matt Ouren (Musician), Zola Renfroe (Understudy), Mimi Stelljes, Reese Sweeney, Chance Vang.

The Dandelion Seed is recommended for our youngest audiences under the age of 6 with their trusted adult and will be presented in the Jaycees Studio Theatre at the Hopkins Center for the Arts in downtown Hopkins. This production is part of Stages Theatre Company’s 40th Anniversary Season, “A Season to Celebrate”.
