MacPhail Summer Program, offering day camps for aspiring young musicians, let's your child or teen explore their musical knowledge and abilities through classes, play, and performances. Taught by our experienced teaching artists, campers at all levels will experience the fun and excitement of making music with other students.

Some of our favorite camps include...
MacPhail Summer Sampler: 3 Sessions Available - June 12-16, June 20-23, July 17-21 from 9am - 3pm
This camp gives your child the chance to try out instruments before they begin taking lessons! Instruments to select from include piano, percussion, ukulele, violin, and voice.
Composition Camp: June 26-30: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm
Gain tools to grow as a composer, experiment with creating music to accompany movie scenes, hear your compositions performed by professional musicians and more!
Rock Week: July 10-14: Monday-Friday noon-4pm
Rock out with other musicians in a band coached by MacPhail faculty, performing both cover songs and original songs. Attend workshops on songwriting, how to rehearse, and an instrument specific class. Students perform for family and friends at the legendary 7th St. Entry at First Avenue on the final day of the camp.
Woodwind Camp: July 17-21: Monday-Friday 1:00-4:00pm
Calling all flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, and French horns! Chamber Music is a fun and effective way to improve your playing skills. In rehearsals and master classes, we’ll cover a variety of topics like rhythm, phrasing, listening, intonation, projection and blend.
