The Imagery has been in business for over 25 years and specializes in family portrait sessions from newborn to HS Seniors, to weddings, anniversaries and events. The Imagery has its own portrait park with waterfalls, sets, landscaped gardens, porches, an old '47 Chevy and more, and also has hundreds of backdrops and indoor options.
Rod has been taking photos ever since at age 7 he asked his parents "Why do only big people have cameras?". Since then he has come from studio and newspaper jobs, to owning his own studio in Burnsville since 1998.
His wife Stephanie Oman (married in 2005) assists with all the sales, marketing, and gardening (there's a lot of it to do). They have a bernedoodle called "Posey" and adore and love all animals that come through the studio.
There is a rescue fundraiser each October in addition to the many themed mini-portrait sessions available for kids. Pets are always welcome. In the spring they do 'fairies' in the garden complete with wings that you can borrow from their selection.
In the summer their popular kids sessions include a cute Lemonade Stand and a Watermelon Stand, and in the fall a Pumpkin Stand. In November, Santa visits, or if you don't celebrate Christmas, their magical snowman session is another seasonal favorite. There are also themed, or non-themed sessions, that take your kids to the beach, baseball, 'old fashioned wash-tub', cowboys, and more.
