With summer upon us splash pads are always looking for a good way to keep the little ones cool. I have put together a list of local splash pads with addresses, hours and a bit of information about each. Cedarcrest Park's FREE splash pad opens annually beginning Memorial Day weekend (weather permitting). It typically closes in early fall or whenever weather conditions no longer allow operation.

Address: 120 E. Cliff Road, Burnsville, MN 55337
Hours: The splash pad is open daily 9 a.m. - 10 p.m. the third weekend in May through the third weekend in September, weather permitting.
Other Information:
Cliff Fen Park is a 40-acre park located on the north side of Cliff Road, just east of the Nicollet Avenue intersection. The park is home to Burnsville Lions Playground and a splash pad. Access to the Minnesota Valley Wildlife Refuge is also available.
The playground has 87 play pieces and is able to accommodate up to 265 children at one time. Play pieces are geared toward children of all ages. There is plenty of room for everyone to run, slide, swing and climb!
The splash pad covers approximately 2,000 square feet, with 12-15 water features meant to spray, soak, sprinkle and splash those who step within its reach. Water features can be activated by pressing the splash pad button.

Kelley Park Splash Pad will open for the season as weather temperatures allow, with daily hours of approximately 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. To operate the splash pad, push the button on the "stoplight" at the south end and step on the foot sensor at the north end. Please Note: The equipment is not sanitized.
Nicollet Commons Water Feature in Burnsville

Splash Pad at Eagan's Central Park
Address: 1501 Central Parkway. The Splash Pad is adjacent to the Festival Grounds Pavilion
Hours: Splash Pad is open for the Season as of May 26. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Other Information: Eagan Central Park Splash Pad is free to the public and includes multiple ground spraying features as well as over-head fountains and buckets. The Splash Pad area also has a rock seating wall and a sun shelter with picnic tables. All seating is first-come, first-serve and spots are not open for reservations. The City of Eagan reserves the right to close the facility due to weather, over-crowding, or other unforeseen situations.
